So, I have searched the web, found nothing to substantiate other than some misleading social media stuff. If he actually gets traded, could we make a thread with the facts so I'm not checking this one about bizarre draft-week rumors, please?

Also, it would be dumb to trade PP if we think we are going to not completely suck. If we trade him, I'm worried about where the Cardinals think they are at in the rebuilding process.

Here is the thing, if you want to trade him, don't let this crap get out. I understand the reasoning behind getting rid of him, but this is more "same old Cardinals" stink that made players in the NFL not want to come to AZ.

Peterson is 28, we have money, so there is no reason to give him a bump and have under contract until he is 34. It is only going to cost more in the future.

Not necessarily true wait till next year pushing 30 could have off year... could be cheaper... what is the fourth highest paid quarterback in the league and has two years left on his deal there’s no point in doing it right now he can wait till next year..

Gambo on 98.7 is saying he doesn't think it's about his contract and that there is a much bigger story behind this that will soon come out.

Cash him out while he still has value.

You heard it hear first. About to be announced.
words are now that he was never shopped, no other team was ever spoken to and etc. You cant post stuff like this, get mad when questioned and then run and hide afterwards and then blame the forum and claim posters here are why you left just because they wont take a rumor as a fact. Better off owning up to it.

It is worth going a year early to avoid this. Let's be real, some promise was made last year for him to have this type of reaction. We all know that Peterson has the frame and ability to transition to S ala Charles Woodson. He is a Hall of Fame player. Why create drama?

They also voted Sam Bradford and then the org gave him a healthy scratch. Maybe it is time for players to realize the organization doesn't have their backs.

No org has the back of a player who is failing miserably on the field.

For once, I am going to question the collective wisdom of 52 men in that locker that made Sam Bradford a captain.

The team was sold that Sam was the answer which is why the org was paying him 15mil+. The team sold that all Sam needed was to stay healthy. The players trusted the organization and backed the move by making the new guy one of the captains. Three weeks in the org flipped. That isn't how you build trust.

yeah, we had no QB and once signed, he was the best QB on the market and with not having the worst coaching staff ever, he might have done okay. All of the moves made sense at the moment with what was given and didnt work out. Revisionist history is about all there is left.

That isn't the story that was told to the players. If it was, you would be correct. They were told that if you keep Sam healthy, we will compete. They kept him healthy, and the org made him a healthy scratch.
