Bobby Witt Jr. rediscovered his power swing.
Connecting on a 433-foot home run to center field Monday night at Kauffman Stadium, the Kansas City Royals shortstop collected his third round-tripper in his past eight games.
Witt, who remains one of the fastest players in the major leagues, struggled to make consistent contact coming out of spring training.
The fundamentals of his swing appeared off.
So, he went to work and broke down his technique.

Leading the Royals to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Cleveland Guardians on Monday, Witt found his All-Star form, scoring two runs and stealing his 11th base.
With a smoother swing recently, Witt is again displaying both power and speed. He just had a few details to work out.
Witt displayed inconsistencies in his swing over the past two seasons.
When analyzing his at-bats from last season and the opening quarter of the MLB season. At the start of this season, Witt's stance appeared more upright while standing a bit more open and closer to home plate.
As he started his swing earlier this season, his hip turn appeared slower, forcing the five-year big leaguer to reach for a pitch, which often resulted in weak contact.
To Witt, things had to change, considering he didn't homer through the first 27 games. He went to work on creating more fluidity at the start of his swing, loading quicker and using extension to drive pitches rather than popping them up.
While not generating much power with an awkward batting stance, Witt still played defense and hit for average. His lowest batting average never fell below the .241 mark he had eight games into the regular season.
An All-Star the past two seasons, Witt is again powering his way to a third straight appearance in the midseason classic.
