This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with Actor, Comedian and long-time Kansas City Chiefs fan Rob Riggle.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Riggle discussed his partnership with Avocados From Mexico ahead of this year's Big Game. The Guacamoney Sweepstakes is giving one lucky fan a taste of sweet victory. If specific predictions are accurate, one lucky fan will score $60,000 in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Big Game — plus free avocados for an entire year. He also shared his first memory of a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.
"They're (Avocados From Mexico) all about having fun, getting friends and family together, which that's what the playoffs are all about, even if your team's out, which I'm discovering for the first time in a long time what that feels like," said Riggle, "It's been 11 years since that happened last, and I don't like it. I like being in the playoffs."
Riggle, a former commentator known for his predictions and 'Riggles Picks, is partnering with Avocados From Mexico to make sure fans have all their guac needs met during the Big Game.
The Chiefs are set to move out of Arrowhead Stadium for a new stadium in Kansas before the 2031 season. Riggle looked back at some of his fond memories at the legendary venue.
"I went to my first Chiefs game when I was a little guy in 1975, I think it was, three years after the stadium opened, and I went to my first game. So that's all I've ever known. It's gonna be hard changes i I've had some of the best tailgates and best memories of my life in that parking lot and that stadium, such great memories of unbelievable Monday night games or playoff games, or come-from-behind victories." said Riggle, "I remember when we beat Houston 51-31 (2019 Divisional Round); we were down 24 points. I was there. I witnessed it. That was a miracle run. We to get that first Super Bowl with (Patrick) Mahomes. Those things are part of my fabric. So, yeah, it's a change. Doesn't mean it's bad, just means it's a change."
To enter, fans can visit AFMGuacamoney.com until February 8th at 9 a.m. ET for a chance to win $60K. One entry is all it takes to be in the game — the rest is up to the Guac Guru and his bold predictions.
