With free agency more or less in the rearview mirror for most franchises, attention has fully turned towards the draft. Smart teams look to enter the draft with as few holes to fill as possible, even if some of those positions are filled by replacement-level players. The Dallas Cowboys have done that at pretty much every spot except for linebacker, where the team has not just a lack of depth, but a lack of experience.

And while there are certainly areas where the team can improve the top line of talent, such as edge rusher and cornerback, there is only one true area of need currently, at linebacker. So where does that leave a team with two first-round picks? Well, that lies in the eye of the beholder, or in this case, the mock drafter. The post-free agency mocks are always interesting because mockers have been at things for months and sometimes will pivot to unconventional thinking.

That's what we found in this week's roundup. There are some wild swings that seem to be more about shock value than what might actually happen.

Trading No.s 12, 20 for 4, 65 and selecting RB Jeremiyah Love

Not opposed to the trade up, but this wasn't for Sonny Styles (16), Caleb Downs (5), or Rueben Bain (7). The Titans took WR Carnell Tate and edge Akheem Mesidor with 12 and 20.

Both of these are great choices individually that no one would have a problem with. But in tandem? The Cowboys might be looking to bail from their current projected starting corners DaRon Bland and Shavon Revel, as they are seen as better man corners than zone. Free agent Cobie Durant has a ton of starting experience, but is only signed for one year. But double-dipping at corner with no more picks before No. 92 would shock a ton of people.

One might see these selections and automatically assume that this is a George Pickens trade scenario, but the logic is to put Tate, Pickens and CeeDee Lamb in the same lineup.
