The Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament will tip off Thursday with four basketball games. No. 6 seed Tennessee (24-11) versus No. 2 seed Iowa State (29-7) will be the final Sweet 16 game to tip off on Friday.

Friday's matchup between the Vols and Cyclones is scheduled for 10:10 p.m. EDT at United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Ahead of Friday's contest, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes previewed playing the Cyclones.

"Toughness, defense, well coached, really terrific point guard play,” Barnes said of Iowa State. “I think they, really as a team, they're connected. They know who needs to be shooting it when they need to be shooting it, and just play extremely well together, but really excellent defensive team. Excellent."

Barnes is 1-0 against Iowa State as the Vols' head coach. Tennessee defeated the Cyclones, 68-45, on Jan. 27, 2018 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge at James H. Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa.
