In a bold move that signals both brand revival and future stardom, Reebok has signed 5-star guard Darius Acuff Jr. to a shoe deal. Acuff, a senior guard and University of Arkansas commit, is widely projected as a 2026 NBA Draft lottery pick. The deal comes just before his appearance in the Iverson Classic All-American Game, where he’ll share the court with some of the nation’s most elite high school talent.
Acuff's stock has risen rapidly in recent months, punctuated by a standout showing at the Nike Hoop Summit. In a game packed with top international and U.S. prospects, Acuff delivered a balanced, efficient performance, scoring a team-high 24 points on 64.3% shooting, including 4-of-8 from deep. He added four rebounds, three assists, and a steal in just under 30 minutes of action.
This move for Darius Acuff Jr. is an interesting one, considering he is still in high school with high expectations as a five-star hooper. While it isn't an official amount, it is estimated that Acuff Jr. has an NIL worth of around $1.1 million. However, the biggest question mark will be how this works with the Arkansas Razorbacks being sponsored by Nike for their team uniforms. With the new rules of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness), it is a possibility that Acuff Jr. receives an exception to rock his Reebok PE shoes at the very least.
Ranked as the No. 4 recruit in Arkansas Razorbacks history, Acuff is expected to make an immediate impact in the SEC. For Reebok, the partnership is more than just a marketing play, it’s a signal of the brand’s renewed focus on emerging talent. As Acuff’s career accelerates, Reebok may have just positioned itself at the front of a promising journey.
