Boston Red Sox outfielder Roman Anthony
The Boston Red Sox are nowhere close to getting outfielder Roman Anthony back on the field.
Anthony hasn't played in a game since May 4 due to a partially torn ring finger CMC ligament. On Sunday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reported that Anthony has not started swinging a bat yet after being shut down.
"An every-few-days check-in: Garrett Crochet hasn't started throwing, and Roman Anthony hasn't started swinging. Status quo for both guys," Healey wrote.

Overall, it has been a disaster of a season for Anthony so far. It's not his fault, but it has been extremely unlikely. Now that he has been moved to the 60-Day Injured List, it doesn't mean he has to wait two more months before returning. He has already missed significant time and is approaching 60 days. Still, it's certainly not a positive sign that he's close to coming back.
