Good news on signings and potential signings with ASU basketball.

One four-star recruit on Wednesday signed with Arizona State basketball. Another is expected to do so Thursday. Both players are ESPN Top 100 players.

Jethro Tshisumpa – a 6-foot-9, 260-pound center from Mountain Mission School in Virginia – is the first 2016 player to sign with coach Bobby Hurley's program. Although raw offensively, he's considered one of the top senior shot blockers in the country.

On Thursday, wing Sam Cunliffe of Seattle Rainier Beach High said he will sign with ASU at a school ceremony. Cunliffe (6-7, 202 pounds) committed to the Sun Devils in June. He had scholarship offers from Gonzaga, as well as half of the Pac-12.

See more from the Doug Haller article dated 11-11-15.

Always nice to have an Australian rugby style punter who punts over 50 yards with either foot. Welcome aboard!

ASU also hosted Frank Martin, a 4-star OT currently committed to USC last weekend and will host 5-star RB Kareem Walker this weekend. Byron Murphy is still on our radar but the longer it takes him to make a decision worries me about him leaving the state.

He has said all along he'll likely announce at one of those All American games in early January. I forget which one and the date at the moment.

Nations #1 RB Visiting Arizona State

http://www.sports360az.com/2015/12/nations-1-rb-visiting-arizona-state/

Kareem Walker, the top 2016 running back prospect in the country, is making his second visit to the Arizona State campus this weekend. National recruiting analysts expect Walker to commit next Thursday, December 17th. The fact that Todd Graham and the Sun Devils were able to convince Walker to come out from his home in Wayne, New Jersey for a official visit less than a week before his announcing his intentions is a real testament to the staffs recruiting.

They needed more OL as they have some guys graduating. These guys should be ready to challenge for starting spots next year.

Yep, we def need the O lineman. But these guys better bulk up for sure if they are going to play in the PAC12

N'Keal Harry AZ's top high school football player has verbally committed to ASU.

http://www.azfamily.com/story/30410424/nkeal-harry-top-in-state-recruit-commits-to-asu

I read on another forum that Harry is ranked the #1 WR recruit in the Country, that our class is now ranked #21 in Country, and that the JC's we are bringing in constitute the #1 JC class. Sounds good, hope its all true!

The next shoe to fall will be Connor Murphy. That would be amazing if he came to ASU. Extremely stiff competition, including Jim Harbaugh who is coming in for a sleepover! http://www.latimes.com/sports/usc/u...onnor-murphy-jim-harbaugh-20160119-story.html

Actually the next shoe to fall will be Byron Murphy who is scheduled to announce his commitment tomorrow at noon. ASU looks to be in great position to land him but TAMU & UW along with USC all have a shot.

That's right, thanks for straightening me out on that. Sounds like we have a better shot with Byron Murphy than Connor Murphy. I just don't know how you compete with a sleepover with Jim Harbaugh, that had to be epic!

Too bad, but good luck to Murphy up there! At least he will see his two ASU amigos when Washington loses to ASU. :)
