WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The eighth annual Nexstar Sports Awards and Hall of Fame banquet kicked off at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2026, inside D.L. Ligon Coliseum on the campus of Midwestern State University.
The night was highlighted with the induction of the five newest members of the Texoma Sports Hall of Fame, and 21 awards to local athletes, coaches, and teams.

During the 2026 Nexstar Sports Awards, the male and female winners of Small School Athlete of the Year, Large School Athlete of the Year, College Athlete of the Year and Class 1A Athlete of the Year, as well as one randomly-selected athlete of the week winner, were awarded scholarships courtesy of United Regional Orthopedics.
Texoma Sports Hall of Fame Inductees
Some of the greatest athletic talents in the world of sports have come from Texoma. Each year at the Nexstar Sports Awards, several local sports legends are added to the Texoma Sports Hall of Fame alongside Dallas Cowboys’ great Bob Lilly, racing legend Eddie Hill, and many others.
