In the corresponding move following the Astros placing SS Jeremy Pena on IL, the team has recalled IF Ray Delgado.
Delgado, 26, was acquired by Houston on June 10 from the Tampa Bay Rays for cash considerations.
The Astros then promoted him to the major league club on June 12, and he made his MLB debut 2 days later.
Delgado appeared in 13 games for Houston, batting .280 with a .308 OBP and .708 OPS in 25 AB. He hit 1 HR with 4 RBI before being optioned yesterday to make room for IF Nick Allen.
