Ravens' Lamar Jackson NFL 100 ranking is an insane drop for one of league's best QBs originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Lamar Jackson is a two-time NFL MVP.
He's also apparently the 69th-best player in the NFL, as decided in the NFL 100, which is voted on by players.
Jackson ranked No. 2 last offseason, so he dropped 67 spots.

MORE: Brandon Aiyuk's latest decision probably ended his NFL career
Frankly, this feels like one of those rankings that should be impossible.
Yes, Jackson had an injury-plagued 2025 season.
But he's still in his prime. He's still a dynamic dual threat. He's still the player who won those two MVP awards not all that long ago.
A list like this is never going to fully capture QB value -- it's the most important position in sports, and the actual top-10 most important NFL players are probably 10 quarterbacks. Jackson certainly is among that bunch.
But instead, this list drops him down outside the top-50, which is crazy.

Even Jackson's detractors would likely recognize this as an oversell.
Sure, the list doesn't really matter. It's just one metric.
That doesn't detract from how off-base it is, though.
If franchises were starting from scratch to build a roster, there isn't a scenario in a million years where Jackson would be the 69th player chosen.
