I just heard them talking about this on mike & mike...said team docs & players were looking around the field for his finger before discovering it in his glove.
Gruesome & I'm assuming he's done for the year

That was a story from a few years ago.. Rashads finger was in his glove when he pulled it out.. They never lost his finger..

No this story is from this week. During special teams play.

I understand Rashad lost his finger yesterday.. But Mike and Mike were telling two stories.. One of a player losing his finger then they lost it and had to go back and find it (was in his glove).. The other story was Rashad where he pulled his hand out and the finger was still in the glove, they never lost the finger..

Talk about giving your middle finger to the team. :D

But seriously, that sucks. I wonder if they are going to re-attach it or now?

Didn't Ronnie Lott tell the doctor to cut his finger off so he could play?

I think so, but I think it was his pinky.

EDIT
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Lott
He had the tip of his left pinky finger amputated after the 1985 season when it was crushed by tackling running back Timmy Newsome, and a bone graft surgery wouldn't have him ready in time for the 1986 season.

It was after the season.

Well a finger is not going to measure up to giving a pound of flesh , but it's a start I guess .

I didnt see tony jefferson playing.just 6 snaps!!!
He was great last week and play just very few snaps, bizarre decision.they did prefer using arenas 5'8'' at safety to play against graham 6'6''meachem 6'2'' and colston 6'4''.
What a bunch of genius!!!
Minter when is healthy has play.stop.
Those ''teachers'' has to talk less and act more

Kent Somers ‏@kentsomers 2h Drs shaved bone on Johnson's finger and repaired. Lost about down to first knuckle

Kent Somers ‏@kentsomers 2h Johnson had surgery yesterday. Bone was exposed so must watch for infection.

That sounds painful.

I wonder how must they pay a Saints player for taking out a body part? That has to be at least 25K. :D

There must be a chart somewhere. :)

Seriously, this has to be painful and how does it get severed inside a glove?

I know exactly how it feels. I had almost the exact same situation. Drs had to cut the bone back to the first knuckle in order to have enough skin to cover the end.

I wonder who did the work. I know some of the best hand specialists in town.
