The offensive line is supposed to be a strength for the rebuilding New York Jets.

Though they allowed 60 sacks in 2025, tied for second-most in the NFL, there was a sentiment that poor quarterback play from quarterback Justin Fields largely contributed to that number. Fields' average time to throw of 3.11 seconds was sixth-longest among all NFL quarterbacks, according to Pro Football Focus.

Geno Smith should be significantly more efficient at quarterback for the Jets.

With that in mind, Jets Wire ranked the Jets' projected starting five offensive linemen from best to worst.

1. Joe Tippmann, RG

Jets right guard Joe Tippmann has a well-deserved new contract extension as he continues establishing himself as a top-20 guard in the NFL. Tippmann has made a shrewd transition after previously playing center. He should continue being extremely reliable in 2026.

2. Olu Fashanu, LT

Olu Fashanu developed into a franchise left tackle in 2025. The former Penn State standout helped stabilize the offense's edge protection while meeting expectations for a sophomore top-15 pick. Fashanu is one of the Jets' most promising pieces.

3. Armand Membou, RT

Armand Membou experienced some typical ups and downs as a rookie, but appeared capable of forming the NFL's most promising young tackle pairings alongside Fashanu. The Jets are expecting sophomore growth from Membou in 2026. He's capable of being a long-term solution.

4. Josh Myers, C

Josh Myers became the Jets' starting center last season after Alijah Vera-Tucker suffered a season-ending injury during training camp. They shuffled the lineup around and brought Myers into the starting five. He's a reliable veteran who is at least a league-average performer.

5. Dylan Parham, LG

The Jets let 2025 starter John Simpson walk in free agency and replaced him with Dylan Parham. He's a versatile blocker, but will fill the left guard spot in the Jets' lineup. Parham is a temporary solution. Hopefully Darren Mougey will eventually draft and develop a guard.
