With the New York Jets wrapping up 2026 NFL minicamp, the team is in a quiet period until next month. In the later stages of July, training camp will begin and the full journey to next season begins.

More moves and transactions can come from the team in that time, but most of the heavy lifting is done. So with spring practices behind us, why not take a look ahead?

With that, here is Jets Wire's post-minicamp 53-man roster projection

Quarterback (3)

Geno Smith, Cade Klubnik, Bailey Zappe

There is a battle for QB2, but Smith in locked in as the starter.

Running back (5)

Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, Kene Nwangwu, Andrew Beck

The backfield currently looks like it will mirror the one from last season. That worked out well with Hall as the lead back.

Wide receiver (6)

Garrett Wilson, Omar Cooper Jr., AD Mitchell, Arian Smith, Isaiah Williams, Tim Patrick

Cooper brings excitement as the potential answer to the No. 2 wideout problem the Jets have had... and just in time, Mitchell was a standout during the spring.

Tight end (3)

Kenyon Sadiq, Mason Taylor, Jeremy Ruckert

This tight end room is unlikely to change at all this offseason. It just remains to be seen what unfolds on the field.

Offensive line (9)

Olu Fashanu, Dylan Parham, Josh Myers, Joe Tippmann, Armand Membou, Max Mitchell, Anez Cooper, Landon Young, Xavier Newman

Adding Parham as the Alijah Vera-Tucker replacement, the starting five look straight forward. Depth positions will be sorted during training camp.

Edge (4)

Will McDonald, Joseph Ossai, Kingsley Enagbare, David Bailey

Ossai flashed in training camp, but as a top rookie, Bailey will see the field as well. McDonald will still lead the way as the seasoned vet.

Defensive tackle (5)

T’Vondre Sweat, Harrison Phillips, Jowon Briggs, David Onyemata, Darrell Jackson Jr.

Sweat, Phillips and Briggs look like a formidable top three.

Linebacker (5)

Demario Davis, Jamien Sherwood, Kiko Maugioa, Mykal Walker, Marcelino McCrary-Ball

McCrary-Ball could factor in as a special teamer. The Jets hope Davis can help Sherwood bounce back in 2026.

Cornerback (6)

Nahshon Wright, Brandon Stephens, Azareye’h Thomas, D’Angelo Ponds, Jarvis Brownlee Jr., Qwan’tez Stiggers

Whoever it is, just intercept a pass.

Safety (4)

Minkah Fitzpatrick, Dane Belton, Malachi Moore, Andre Cisco

The Jets moved a lot in the secondary this offseason and for good reason. Fitzpatrick could be a wild card moved around the defense, but it remains to be seen how much depth is needed.

Special teams (3)

Jason Sanders, Thomas Hennessy, Austin McNamara
