The Los Angeles Rams were missing their top rookie and defensive tackle at practice on Saturday. Tight end Terrance Ferguson, the team’s second-round pick this year, is dealing with a groin injury, while Kobie Turner’s back was bothering him.
Sean McVay was brief in his description of Ferguson’s ailment, only saying it’s a “little groin” keeping the tight end on the sidelines. He did not give a timetable for his return, but he did say they will be smart. Ferguson was in street clothes during practice so he didn’t do any drills in practice, only standing by as an observer.
McVay said Turner’s “back was bothering him a little bit” so he was held out of practice, too.
The injuries have begun to pile up a little bit for the Rams, including Kamren Curl and Emmanuel Forbes Jr. in the secondary. Matthew Stafford remains sidelined, as well, with his back soreness.
