It’s getting where you keep them for the rookie contract and then cut bait.
He is taking his firing like a champ.
Transition tag price is an average of the top 10 RB contracts. Without Gurley & Freeman (#'s 2 and 5 out of the top 10)...... That number drops quite a bit when they are removed.
This question is tough to answer IMO but maybe someone knows.
The dude is CHILLEN - oh to be a multimillionaire
the Rams may have gotten better..... in the long term
but not for next year.
Extra $3mm of cap room lost.
He did provide 900 yards and 14 TDs for them.
It would be dumb for Drake not to consider other teams. Gurley is a perfect example as to why he should entertain offers. The $8.7 is good for one year. A longer term contract with more guaranteed money makes a lot more sense than one year especially if he gets hurt.
Gurley had 54 TD’s the past 3 seasons. Damn knee injuries.
It’s the nature of the beast.
If Drake stays here and negotiates a longer deal he will be a whole lot richer than risking playing just on a one year deal.
I’d take a look at him. He seemed like he could effective with a smaller role. Guess it depends on how bad his knee is. They kept it under wraps pretty good.
I can see the Hags picking him up
Bruce Arians . . "Come on Baby"
Craig.....how you get fired on your damn day off???
Friday was such a funny movie.
The title is way off. Gurley still had moments of greatness even last year. Gurley was still their best back.
