The Los Angeles Rams hired Bubba Ventrone as their new special teams coordinator this past week, bringing the former Browns coordinator from Cleveland to Southern California.

Ventrone isn’t the only coach the Rams are pulling from the Browns’ staff, though. According to Aaron Wilson, the Rams are also hiring former Browns assistant special teams coach Kyle Hoke to their staff. Hoke is the first reported hire on special teams since Ventrone’s arrival.

Last season was Hoke’s first as a coach in the NFL after 13 years in the collegiate ranks. He’s the nephew of former Michigan and San Diego State head coach Brady Hoke.

In college, Hoke coached safeties and also had a stint as John Carroll University‘s defensive coordinator in 2017. He was a defensive analyst at Texas A&M in 2024.
