In a move that seemed like it should've happened a while ago, the Raiders have signed WR Noah Brown. The move seemed like it should have happened because the Raiders have had a need at the X receiver spot and Brown could add talent to the roster to compete at that spot.

The nine-year NFL veteran joins the Raiders after two years in Washington. Last season, he was lost to an injury in week four, but in the three seasons prior to that, he put up good numbers with the Dallas, Houston, and Washington, averaging 37 catches and 525 yards and a couple touchdowns per season.

He may or may not be able to get up to speed quick enough to make the Raiders roster, but there is certainly an opening here for his services.

To make room on the roster, the Raiders cut defensive tackle Benito Jones.
