Are the Raiders practicing a bit of gamesmanship...for a preseason game? Saturday the Raiders brought in former Texans starting DT Folorunso Fatukasi to the roster.
The versatile defensive lineman adds some more depth to the Raiders interior defensive line group for training camp. And it happens just days before the Raiders head to Houston for join practices ahead of their Week two preseason matchup.
The 6-4, 318-pounder is a ninth-year NFL veteran. He spent the past two seasons in Houston, starting 12 games in 15 appearances. After starting all 11 games in which he appeared in 2024, his last season being cut short by injury after just four games.
Fatukasi entered the league as a sixth-round pick (180th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. After four seasons with the Jets (2018-2021) he played two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2022-23) before joining the Texans in 2024.
Over his eight years in the NFL, Fatukasi has played in 90 games with 64 starts, lining up as a starter at defensive end, defensive tackle, and nose tackle. He has 195 career tackles, 7.0 sacks, 28 tackles for loss, 24 quarterback hits, seven passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
