I'm not going to post all the times I've seen that said but from a quick search.

Let's not forget what the defense was doing before last year.

That's just it. Wait give him time. He's only been watching American football for about 10 years. I never thought I would be in here either but yet here I am. This team can drag the optimism right out of a guy. And I am very much an optimist.
I am in all things other than the cardinals. The Cardinals just beat the realism into me.

I wonder if people get as tired of sucking off this organization as I get reading their naive posts?
Whoa… someone get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

I get being frustrated with certain takes that defend what I think is indefensible with this organization, but this is some pretty stinky cheese, even for me, Chop!

I have no issue with hope despite the history this franchise brings. I really struggle with people who try and gaslight others (or talk down to them) on this board that this franchise, it's GM, it's owner, any part of it deserves any sort of benefit of doubt.

Bidwill is awful and has always been awful. He is like the Christmas poo from South Park that leaves residues of poop on everything it touches. This is a fact.

Monti is a loser. He failed to significantly better the roster in the three years he has been here. His coaching staff failed. His plan at QB failed. He has missed more in the draft and free agency than he has hit. His plan was to upgrade the lines and he failed to even do that. He was not fired back because another loser in Bidwill doesn't want to look even more like a doofus but jokes on him, keeping Monti makes him look even worse. This is a fact.

Rallis hasn't been a good DC any year he has been in AZ. People can debate the players he has had to work with but that is crap because it's the same GM. He is still going to have the same guy feeding him players. What's gonna change? Also, Monti had nothing to do with his passive defense scheme. And if the argument is that it was passive because of Gannon, well then, why are we going with a bootlicker of a DC? Ultimately, the biggest issue with Rallis is that he can't really win unless he really shows something more than he has shown. This is a fact.

Now, is there a thin line that can be threaded where Monti gets better, Bidwill keeps his mitts off things, MFL is amazing, and Rallis comes into his own...sure, but let's not pretend like it is a likely scenario. The most likely scenario is that Monti continues to be a loser, the Cardinals have another bad season, and Bidwill gets hammered all year for holding onto him which leads to Bidwill firing him. The defense continues to suck due to lots of reasons, and Rallis gets fired too because nothing changed. This will lead to a new GM with a HC he didn't hire, a new DC whom might be the coaches choice or might be the new GM choice, a still bad roster, and roster turnover as the new GM moves to get rid of the players Monti drafted. Then MLF goes into year 2 with a bad record, a rookie QB, and it is another thin path to being competitive.

We will see tho.

Whether people want to believe it or not, we're at the beginning of another rebuild, with a GM in charge who has already failed once. Good times!
Yeah, but what are the chances he fails again?

Wait. Don't answer that.

you're preaching to the choir so i get it, but telling a large swath of the board they're sucking off the Bidwills is pretty extreme.

most comical part of listening to the radio today was Wolf already laying down the track for a failure of a season saying he wants to see this team be competitive in 2 YEARS. I wonder if he even realizes how much of a massive indictment I.T is on Monti that we aren't supposed to be competitive until YEAR 5 of his tenure when we just saw the Seahawks win the title in year 2 of theirs, the Pats go to the Super Bowl in Year 2 of theirs and on and on and on...

Jason Licht survived 3 coaching changes and 6 years of failure before he got the Bucs to the SB. So year 5 sounds optimistic. We clearly have at least 3 more years of sucking to go.

If you think we're not in the beginning of a rebuild, you're lying to yourself. No QB/bad roster/new coach - the fact we're going to continue to employ guys like Frye and Rallis (and most importantly the guy who built this garbage) just means we're prolonging our rebuild misery.

Theo pulling no punches:

“Hackett was once seen as a rising star in the industry. In 2017, he helped lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to the AFC championship game with Blake Bortles at quarterback. Two years later, he landed in Green Bay, where he oversaw three of the league’s best offenses in three years with the Packers.

But since then, the ride has been turbulent.Hackett’s tenure with the Packers — when he did not call offensive plays — landed him his first head coaching job, with the Denver Broncos. That lasted just 15 games before he was dismissed with a 4-11 record. His next stop was with the New York Jets, where he called plays. In both seasons there, his offenses were bottom-10 units.”
