Only this fan base could have a new offensive HC from the Rams and have a new Dark side thread before FA, the draft and camp.

All because he thought his best option for DC was the 32 years old with 3 years play calling experience who is considered one of the best young defensive minds in the league, and retained the OL coach that several NFL teams were interested in because he wasn't great in his first year ever in the NFL with a hobbled line (Hernandez missed 10 games, Jonah Williams missed 8, Evan Brown missed 6, Paris Johnson missed 5) and we had no running backs worth anything after the first 4 games . There were only 4 games all season where we had the full starting O line together, and in one of them Williams only played 71%.

But y'all would be happier had they brought in Gus Bradley and some no name former assistant O line coach from the Dolphins or something I guess.

Enjoy your self imposed misery I guess
There's always gonna be at least one Jar Jar in our midst.

You made a wrong turn. This is the darkside thread. The rose colored I love Michael Bidwill and the Cardinals front office decision making anonymous room is down the hallway and three doors down. Don’t mind the flames and the red guy with horns and a pitchfork laughing maniacally who opens the door and welcomes you. He’s harmless. His name is Kyler. Say hi!

After considering this thread a bit further, my only question at this point is: Whom will we hire as our next head coach after the 2029 season?
Clearly, by that time, Nick Rallis will be an up-and-coming defensive coach with 6 years of coaching experience. He'll be a shoe-in. :D

Out of curiosity, I went back to see the frequency of the dark side thread.

Seems like every year since 2009 (when we had just made it to the Super Bowl the year before and were 8-5 (having just lost for the 2nd time to the 49ers). Guess what? We made the playoffs again that year.

Oh - to be 2009 again.

And if we again rank 25th, 27th, and 29th (or whatever trash rankings his Ds “earned”) the “logic” behind his being elevated to HC will be “Well, he is consistent.”

I think that's called "running under the radar"
This is used as a tactic to surprise the enemy...
Unfortunately, Bidwilly hasn't quite mastered it....ever!!

We’ll be told that he isn’t going to use the same schemes as head coach that he used as the defensive coordinator, and that’s why we should hire him.

Ouchie, I read several of your posts from yesterday and thought you were going to have a stroke. Looks like you're ok today.
Remember, deep breathes...it's the just the cardinals doing cardinal stuff.. ;)

Stroke? Lol. Takes a lot more than the cards to rile me up. When you’re a realist you expect this stuff. It’s the koolaiders you need worry about. They have the steepest falls to navigate.

Man, I hope your optimism will be proven true. Please, remember, that most of us have over 35 years, some more than 50 (how many years has PA been a fan? I forget) of watching this pathetic franchise. This org needs to prove some things before we will EVER give them the benefit of the doubt. Running back the same GM and DC (only this time with less QB!) is the epitome of a Cardinals move. Sure, we can hope that this time it'll be different. History says otherwise.

I hate that Im like this, but they did it to me.

I'm not optimistic.

I think our ceiling next year is .500. We are in the toughest division in football and we have no quarterback, and no realistic prospect this year of a good starting QB that can compete in this division.

I think it could be a fun year. I think Mike's scheme will be interesting and fun to watch. I think he will get more out of Marv and the rest of the offense. I think JB can be a solid, if limited, QB that can win 8 games with prevailing wind. I think getting several key players back from injury will make a big difference. But this is still the toughest division in football and a plucky offense and solid defense can only get you so far.

I just don't think who is at DC or OL coach matters much next year, so I don't think it hurts to give these guys a shot. Both are well respected and would get jobs instantly elsewhere, so why not?

Especially Frye. It's really not fair to judge him in his first year in the league while having to deal with the injuries they had on the O line. As I said above, he had the starting line for 3 and a bit games.

Fro played 98% of snaps. After that the highest is Paris with 71%.

Josh Fryar played 25% of offensive snaps. We had some guy called Demontray Jacobs playing. And we had no run game worth crap for 13 games. Very unfair to judge him on that.

Let's not forget what the defense was doing before last year.

Exactly - you have nothing.

Is considered or was considered by "internet experts"? 4 out of your 5 Rallis posts are from 2023. The 5th one is from 2024.

"Several NFL teams"? Your Justin Frye article was about him interviewing for the Bears OL job a month before we hired him in Feb 2025.

Well, both are staying so I guess you're going to find out.

That's just it. Wait give him time. He's only been watching American football for about 10 years. I never thought I would be in here either but yet here I am. This team can drag the optimism right out of a guy. And I am very much an optimist.

Thankfully I was banned or I would have probably been banned for life on Friday, with the news. Let's just put it like that :)
Doesn't really matter does it? I mean he's got one year to prove he was being handicapped by JG. If he fails next year (and we're in the dark side thread) so he probably will then ML can go out and get his choice of DC. It's a lost season anyway so might as well shoot for the Moon. As in the moon is the #1 draft choice in 27.
