Which is wild when you see guys like AC/DC and the Stones just wobbling around still kicking given they eat hard drugs for breakfast lunch and dinner. Lol

I think the vast majority of fans would be hella shocked to know what these guys are really like off the field and TV.

That goes both ways I remember Ndamukong Suh. On field he was vicious, off field I understand he was good friends with Fitz (which seems unlikely if he was not at least reasonable) and IIRC he had a pretty good reputation in Portland Oregon (when we lived there) for his charity work

Suh is merely 1 of thousands of players to be rostered, final 53 or practice squad, over decades.

My buddys dad played 10 yrs from the 60’s into the 70’s. He grew up with a dad disconnected and high as a kite “all the time.” Overtly unfaithful to his mom.

He swears his dad didn’t beat him or his mom and sister, but was rather completely disconnected.

“crap my dad pulled would make national news today.”

Most of these top end dudes hire PR/security/cleaner people now.

I’m not painting every NFL player with a broad brush, but rather shedding light on the clubs that protect and hide them during their career.

Certainly LS didn’t just develop a crack habit upon retirement…

the casual rah rah go team go fan really has no idea what it takes to roster and what makes them tick.

There used to be a bat about a block from the Oakland Coliseum...the team not only went drinking there after practice every day...but a couple dozen of the guys would meet there for a liquid lunch mid day...not uncommon for a couple Percodan and a pitcher of beer to be the most common lunch meal for the players in attendance.

But its hard to expect anything less from them when the team would inject their knees with lidocaine and a drop of morphine on the sidelines...or with a quick trip to the locker room...just so a fella can get out there and finish the game
