Benson will not fall out of the top 10. The Cards will be lucky if he lasts until 8.

I do not believe there is any thought of taking a QB.

The Cards have not focused on any player other than Brown who they believe will be long gone.

Looks like the Niners are going to bow to public pressure and take a QB. While the public wants Rodgers, I think they go with Smith.

Pollack won't last until round 2, the Jags have targeted him in round 1.

Virtually all the mocks I have seen have Spears too low. It he hangs a long time, don't be shocked to see the Pats move up and take him. They see him as a clone of Seymour, whom they likely can't afford to keep.

Cards won't take an offensive linemen with their second pick. The dropping players have them salivating. This draft is over-scouted and over-thought. See Occam's razor.

I don't think the Cards can get much of anything for Shelton or Clement. Nobody is that excited by him anyway. The other teams seem certain Clement will be cut and that Shelton can be had for a low pick after June 1.

On the free agent scene, the Cards seem somewhat bitter about Mili. They think they were used.

I agree that Clement will definitly be cut, I am not sure if the Cards will save any extra money by doing it after June 1st though.I don't know the financial status with him. I don't see any trade involving shelton in Henry to happen. That deal is pretty much dead in the water. I don't see a trade involving any RB with the Cardinals to happen. It would be to costly and strap our cash flow to patch up the other areas such as CB, TE, OL depth, and possibly another vet DL(Hovan) With James and Alexander being dangled out there for a second rounder I don't see the Cards getting a 2nd for Shelton. I know that LT or harder to find now than a RB, but I think Sheltons Value has dropped down to a 3rd, possibly a 4th. I thought I read a post though that Shelton, if traded, wouldn't be worth it financially. The only way I see shelton being traded,is if something goes down on Draft day. Which in my Opinion needs to hurry up and get here.

If we keep Shelton then he needs to play.

If we want to jettison him then we pick up a draft choice at a spot where we can get a starter or future starter on the offensive line....which will be tough this year since it's a weak year for premier OL's. I do like Kemoeatu from Utah so hopefully someone like him will be available in round 3....especially since we have more than one pick in that round.

Clement is dead weight.

Good stuff as usual Harry --

now my real question -- help me with the Occam's Razor reference

As a liberal arts grad, I pride myself on understanding references to (what I guess) is literature -- you have me stumped though............

Occam's Razor states that one should not make more assumptions than needed. When multiple explanations are available for a phenomenon, the simplest version is preferred

If Shelton is in shape come mini camps, then Green and he will make up and Shelton will be excited to be the designated starting ROT. Ross will move to ROG. You are right Harry, while I thought that Baas in the 2nd would be good, I can't see this happeneing. An O-Line of Davis; Wells; Steph; Ross and Shelton would be perfect.

We ought to keep Clement. Trade Shelton on draft day for whatever we can get. A third, maybe?

The chances of Ross playing right guard are about zero.

Denny didnt sign him to play guard--

I could see Shelton being used during the draft as "trade up" currency-

If not, Shelton becomes excellent depth.

But if Anything Denny has shown no fear of playing based on what he wants, not salary. If the "Signed to play position X" held true Shelton would be our LT right now. If Denny doesn't get value for Shelton I bet he stays and is played where deemed best for the line. There are still teams that need a LT and are gonna play chicken with AZ to see if they flinch first and cut him. Something will happen. Shelton is a bargain at LT, and LT is the hardest position to fill on the O-Line.

.

One thing I did notice is that Vincent who played rg for steelers last year, and many here wanted to get as well signed somewhere (can't remember) for about ~4.65 mill over 3 seasons.

I don't know about you all, but I would have offered him that much to come here. Oh well.

It has been my experience that women find this impossible to do.

It's all your fault 40yr. If you don't believe me, ask her she'll tell you herself.
