Why would a 3* wide receiver decide to walk on at Purdue instead of playing for one of the 10,000 schools between Mountain View, California, and West Lafayette, Indiana?

Well, if you’re planning to be an Aero and Astro Engineering major, West Lafayette, Indiana, is where you want to be!

That’s not to say football isn’t important to Adkison; I can’t fathom the discipline required to play college football and major in Aero and Astro Engineering. Some folks are wired differently, and Adkison is one of those people. The Boilermakers have received solid production from a guy who chose a school for its academics. Any snap he plays is found money, and he’s played a good bit on special teams. That’s probably his role on this team until he graduates and starts doing big-brained stuff that sounds more like science fiction to this simple caveman English major.
