Arizona Cardinals pass rusher Josh Sweat was the subject of trade rumors this offseason. Entering the second year of his four-year, $76.4 million contract, there are whispers that he isn't happy. He didn't show up to the voluntary offseason program and didn't practice during mandatory minicamp, but the Cardinals consistently say there is no issue or problem with Sweat.

But that didn't stop Bleacher Report Gridiron from proposing a three-team trade that involves Sweat, one that benefits everyone except the Cardinals.

The deal involves the Cardinals, the Chicago Bears and the Carolina Panthers.

The Cardinals send Sweat to the Bears. The Bears send tight end Cole Kmet to the Panthers, and the Cardinals get a fourth-round pick from the Bears and one from the Panthers.

It has been reported that the Cardinals are not trading Sweat. Adding Sweat makes a lot of sense for the Bears. MOving Kmet to the Panthers makes some sense, as the Bears have Colston Loveland now. But are two 2027 fourth-round picks worth losing the Cardinals' only pass-rushing threat?

Any trade of Sweat makes no sense right now. They lose their best pass rusher without anyone to help. 2027 picks are nice, but two Day 3 selections is not enough value. A deal closer to the trade deadline makes more sense than doing it right now.
