Fortunately, not every face will be brand new to fans. Regardless, we will be here to give you a fresh overview of every player on the roster for the 2026 season with a series of player profiles.
From all of the returning players, a long list of new faces from the transfer portal, and incoming recruits from the Class of 2026, we will have you covered with this year's player profiles for the Penn State roster. Here is a quick look at safety Jeremiah Cooper for the 2026 season.

Class of 2022: Consensus 3-star, No. 68 ranked safety per 247sports
Jeremiah Cooper was a mainstay in Iowa State’s secondary, appearing in 38 games during his time there. He recorded 134 combined tackles over four years, with 4.5 of them being for a loss. Cooper also proved to have a knack for finding the ball, with 22 passes defensed and eight interceptions over his four years with the Cyclones.
There won’t be much continuity with Penn State’s safeties this year, which allows Cooper to come in and make an impression on the coaching staff. He followed Matt Campbell over from Iowa State and will likely play a big part in the Nittany Lions’ safety room with his vast experience. He will be joined by some of his former teammates, who also made the trek over to Penn State.
Cooper was a two-way player on the football field, as well as a basketball player in high school.
