PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) — June was a good month for the Richwoods girls basketball team.
The Knights finished off an unbeaten run in the annual Illinois Central College girls basketball game summer league on Thursday. Richwoods beat Tremont and Notre Dame to unofficially win the monthlong league with an 8-0 record.
High school basketball teams play in summer tournaments, leagues and shootouts in June. In July, most high school basketball players hit the road with their AAU teams.
