Mar. 13—SOMERVILLE — Jack Carnell pitched a complete game on Thursday to lead Brewer to a close win over Decatur.

Carnell allowed seven hits but just one run with four strikeouts. Decatur's Evan Forsyth also had a big game on the mound, allowing four hits and two runs with eight strikeouts.

Hunter Knighten had two hits and an RBI for Brewer, while Reeves Waller led Decatur with two hits.



Austin 13, Fairview 5: Trey Harville had two hits, an RBI and scored three runs to lead Austin.

Owen Prater added a hit and two RBIs.



East Lawrence 6, Covenant Christian 2: Tad Terry had two hits, an RBI and scored three runs to lead East Lawrence.

Sawyer Coan added two hits and an RBI and Aaden Jones had a hit and two RBIs.



Athens 7, Madison County 1: Luke Vaughan led Athens with a hit and two RBIs, while Whit Griffis had two hits and an RBI.



Lawrence County 16. West Morgan 6: Ben Newton drove in four runs on two hits in a win.

Ryder Alvis had a hit, three RBIs and scored four runs. Titan Partlow led West Morgan with a hit and two RBIs.



Athens Bible 12, Colbert Heights 10: Luke Murrell drove in four runs on three hits and Chandler James had four hits and an RBI to lead Athens Bible

Ethan Barnes had a hit and two RBIs.



Lindsay Lane 14, Tanner 1: Lane Jones and Cooper Abernathy each had two hits and an RBI to lead Lindsay Lane.



Softball



Austin 13, Russellville 4: Arden Breedlove, Liann Sanchez and Marissa Adams all had home runs in a big win for the Black Bears.

Breedlove had two hits and three RBIs, Sanchez had three RBIs and Adams had two hits and an RBI. Khalilah Mason added three hits and two RBIs.



Hartselle 15, Decatur 0: Aubree Peak allowed just one hit with eight strikeouts in three innings as Hartselle cruised to a win.

Ryley Cate Wolf had three hits, including a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored. Katie Norgard and Bailey Lawrence added two hits and an RBI.



East Lawrence 8, Danville 4: Xzyla Cartee led East Lawrence with three hits and two RBIs.

Adilynn Nelms added three hits, including a double and a triple, and an RBI. Brooke Wauford led Danville with three hits and an RBI.



West Limestone 1, Ardmore 0: Anna Hardiman and Katie Lyn Kyle combined to strike out 16 batters in a shutout win for West Limestone,

Aubrey Bethune had a hit and the lone RBI, while Lilee Legg had two hits.



West Morgan 2, West Point 0: Chasity Rikard pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits and no runs with nine strikeouts.

Rikard also led the team at the plate with a home run and two RBIs.



Brooks 11, Hatton 6: Lexi Kilpatrick, Celia Murray and Maci Lovelady each had two hits and an RBI for Hatton.



Soccer



West Morgan 10, Madison County 0: Irvin Mayo had three goals and Mason Sinclair had two. Hector Carrillo, Osmar Blanco, Juan Segoviano, Jonathan Ruiz and Hosvaldo Barrientos all had one goal.
