Apr. 4—Gracie Lawrence went 2-for-3 with four RBIs as Brewer defeated Decatur 12-5 at the Morgan County softball tournament at Wilson Morgan Park on Friday.

Cadence Lott homered, singled and drove in three runs for the Patriots, while LC Hamilton added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Mackenzie Irmen doubled, singled and drove in a run and Lawrence pitched all five innings for the win, striking out four.

Annabelle Matthews tripled, doubled and drove in three runs for Decatur, while Miley Daniels added two hits and one RBI.



Brewer 6, West Morgan 2: Irmen drove in a pair of runs for Brewer. Taylor Pellem doubled and drove in a run and Sophia Homan pitched five strong innings for the win, striking out five.

Adi Grace Rodgers doubled and drove in a run for West Morgan, while Tensley Suggs added one hit.



Austin 3, Danville 1: Charlie Barnes was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate for Austin at the Morgan County softball tournament on Friday, driving in one run.

Kyleigh Gable had two hits and one RBI for the Black Bears, while Marissa Adams pitched six strong innings for the win. Adams allowed four hits and one walk with a pair of strikeouts.

Sophia Reiber had one RBI for Danville.



Priceville 7, Falkville 6: Brooklyn Tucker doubled twice and drove in two runs as Priceville picked up a win in the Morgan County Tournament on Friday.

Layla Goss singled and drove in two runs for the Bulldogs, while Bailey Smyth added three hits, including a double, and one RBI. Elizabeth Murphy pitched two hitless innings for the win, striking out two.

Peyton Holloway doubled and drove in a run for Falkville. Karsyn Echols and Haley Owens had one RBI each.



Priceville 2, Austin 1: Kelsey Green singled home a run in the top of the seventh inning to boost Priceville past Austin on Friday.

Green finished with two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs, while Smyth added a pair of hits, including a double. Murphy pitched all seven innings for the win, striking out two.

Arden Breedlove hit a solo home run for Austin. Adams, Gable and Liann Sanchez had two hits each for the Black Bears.



Danville 4, Falkville 0: Addi Hill tripled, doubled and drove in a run for Danville at the Morgan County tournament on Friday.

Kate Randolph had a hit and one RBI for the Hawks. Randolph also pitched seven innings for the win, allowing just one hit with 10 strikeouts. Lily Slayton had one hit for Falkville.



Hartselle 8, Oakland (Tenn.) 0: Hatsumi Peterson doubled and drove in a run for Hartselle on Friday.

Katie Norgard hit a solo homer for the Tigers, who got RBIs from six different players. Abigail Kubica pitched four shutout innings for the win, allowing three hits while striking out six.



Hartselle 9, Smyrna (Tenn.) 1: Amelia Fox homered, doubled and drove in four runs in a win for Hartselle on Friday.

Ryley Cate Wolf had a homer and three RBIs for the Tigers, while Bailey Lawrence added two hits, including a double, and one RBI. Aubree Peak pitched three innings for the win, allowing one hit and three walks with a strikeout.



West Limestone 4, Greenwood (Kent.) 1: Katie Lyn Kyle struck out 17 batters over seven innings to secure the win for West Limestone on Friday.

Aubrey Bethune homered and drove in three runs for the Wildcats, while Kyle added three hits.



Clements 6, DAR 4: Lexie Henderson had two hits and three RBIs to lead Clements on Friday.

Zailey Moran had two hits and two RBIs for the Colts, while Olivia Moody pitched all six innings for the win, striking out two.



Paducah Tillman (Kent.) 8, Clements 2: Peyten Burks drove in a run for Clements on Friday, while Moran and Moody added one hit each.



Lindsay Lane 6, DAR 2: Briley Miller led Lindsay Lane with two hits and two RBIs on Friday.

Maggie Wallace and Kaitlyn McMasters had two hits and one RBI each for the Lions, while Charleigh Reding pitched all six innings for the win, striking out five.



Paducah Tillman (Kent.) 8, Lindsay Lane 4: Aubrey Burgreen doubled and drove in two runs for Lindsay Lane on Friday, while Miller added a double and one RBI.



Athens 19, Hatton 1: Lexie Thornton had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs in a big win for Athens on Friday.

Linsley Gillman had two doubles and three RBIs for the Golden Eagles, while Paisley Howell doubled and drove in three runs. Thornton pitched three innings for the win.

Zella Williamson drove in a run for Hatton.



Athens Bible School 10, Shoals Christian 0: Audrey Barnes had two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs for Athens Bible on Friday.

Alyssa Butler had two hits and two RBIs for the Trojans and Hadley Robison pitched six innings for the win, striking out eight.



Lawrence County 4, Coffee County (Tenn.) 2: McKinley McCaghren drove in a pair of runs for Lawrence County on Friday.

Bella Cross had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for the Red Devils and pitched five innings for the win, striking out four.



Lawrence County 8, Independence (Tenn.) 5: Cross doubled and drove in two runs for Lawerence County on Friday. McCaghren pitched five innings for the win, allowing one earned run on four hits with seven strikeouts.



East Lawrence 6, Great Crossing (Kent.) 5: Mercy Green doubled and drove in three runs for East Lawrence on Friday.

Gabby Mallard had a double and two RBIs for the Eagles, while Madison Austin pitched 4 2/3 innings of relief for the win, striking out five.



McCracken County (Tenn.) 11, East Lawrence 0: Lily Claborn had a pair of hits for East Lawrence on Friday.



Coffee County (Tenn.) 11, Hatton 0: Addie Brackin singled to account for Hatton's lone hit on Friday.



Independence (Tenn.) 5, Hatton 1: Lexi Kilpatrick doubled and drove in a run for Hatton on Friday, while Brackin added three singles.



Meade County (Kent.) 6, Ardmore 4: Payton Pennington singled twice and drove in a pair of runs for Ardmore on Friday.

Kiki Embry had two hits for the Tigers, while Kadence Williams added one RBI.



New Hope 6, Elkmont 2: Avery Broadway had a double and one RBI for Elkmont on Friday. MJ Woodfin drove in one run for the Red Devils.



Warren East (Kent.) 9, Elkmont 0: Broadway and Woodfin had one double each for Elkmont on Friday.



New Hope 9, East Limestone 4: Presley McMunn doubled and drove in a pair of runs for East Limestone on Friday.

Grace Bielat had two hits and one RBI for the Indians, while Mahaley Lassie added a pair of singles.



East Limestone 7, Warren East (Kent.) 3: Bielat had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs for East Limestone on Friday.

Lassie had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs for the Indians, while Abby Thompson pitched all five innings for the win, striking out seven.



Baseball



Hatton 15, Lawrence County 3: Bryson Jeffreys singled and drove in a pair of runs for Hatton on Friday.

Rowan Armstrong had two hits for the Hornets, while John Oliver Czervionke and Brendon Pierce added one hit and one RBI each. Jeffreys pitched five innings for the win, striking out six. Gage Terry led Lawrence County with two RBIs.



Ardmore 9, Elkmont 7: Carter Apodaca hit a pair of homers and drove in four runs to lead Ardmore on Friday.

Jevan Rolin homered and drove in four runs for the Tigers, while Jack Rush added a triple, double and one RBI.

Lincoln Doner went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs for Elkmont and Bryant Smith had two hits, including a double, and one RBI.



Lindsay Lane 12, Belgreen 0: Hampton Wallace had two hits, including a double, and three RBIs for Lindsay Lane on Friday.

Bryson McMullin tripled and drove in two runs for the Lions, while Wyatt Wallace added a hit and two RBIs. Wyatt Wallace pitched 2 2/3 innings for the win, striking out five.



Russellville 7, Austin 2: Owen Prater singled and drove in a pair of runs for Austin on Friday.

Levi Morgan and Paxton Branum had one hit each for the Black Bears, who were outhit 6-3 in the loss.



Giles County (Tenn.) 11, West Limestone 1: Wesley Dean had a pair of hits and one RBI for West Limestone on Friday.
