post-superbowl losing teams generally are not good the following year. The Seahawks still look like a great team IMO, but history is not on their side.

Umm your numbers don't add up, you have a total of 298 wins and only 214 losses, don't think it is possible to have more wins then losses at the end of the season should all equal out.

Im going into this season w/ my expectations lowered. Last year I was all hoped up thinking we would be in the playoffs and then we won 5 games. So this year my goal/hope is to go 8-8, anything more than that is a blessing.

NOTE to those who post W-L record predictions: Total league losses has to equal total league wins.

32 teams x 16 games = 512 outcomes

512 outcomes = 256 wins and 256 losses

So out of 256 games, how do you come up with 298 wins??? :D

Go Cards!!!

EDIT: Props to CardLogic....I was so quick to jump on the inflated wins that I didn't read through the entire thread to see that you already made the same comment.

Go Cards!!

Ive learned my lesson from last year. Until we show that we can field an NFL caliber offensive line, Im going to withhold any optimism.

NFC Division Champs: Seahawks, Bears, Panthers, Giants

NFC Wild Cards: Cardinals, Cowboys

I think the NFC North will shake out to be a fairly weak division with the bears having the safety that the seahawks had last year. I also think the Panthers have a slight leg up on their division and could be the class of the NFC. The other divisions will have teams like seattle, AZ, NYG, Wash & Dallas fighting for the title with the losers fighting with TB and Atl for the wildcard births.

In the AFC I see the Broncos, Dolphins, Colts & Steelers taking their divisions. I see the Jags & Chiefs as the WCs

I'm optimistic but I'm holding off on my predictions till at least training camp. Too much can still happen between now and the season
