Would having a new long snapper also factor into this issue as well? Certain way ball needs to be snapped so Andy does not have to worry about moving ball around too much to get laces facing right direction?

I'm sure there is something there. Look how many issues there were when Hudson was out.

Like most things, there is usually more than 1 variable. Prater could have also had a bad day at the same time.

I think the field played into it too. Looks like they all wore the wrong cleats

Judging by that hold alone... Andy's been doing this long enough that I think that had to be a pretty big issue all day with the snap. Hopefully we get Brewer back at some point.

Laces smaces. He has kicked a few weird kicks before this with the laces out. Just make it. Yes, I’m sticking with him.

Duh, I know that. But the laces were out and they were still fluttering kicks.
Ehh. Yeah. These were shanksville style to me, even for prater, and kicking a football with laces in isn't a gimme... but I'm clearly on one side of the fence on this one. So bias confirmed. Lol

I've thought about that kick quite a bit too. But, you know what? Every time I start getting a case of the "What ifs?" I remember how our bad kickers used to screw us, and I don't feel the least bit bad or that we're at all lucky.
