Oregon Ducks designated hitter Naulivou Lauaki Jr. has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs baseball team. The talented DH will serve as a massive addition to the Bulldogs’ lineup for the 2027 season.
Standing at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, Lauaki is a big DH with elite power. The Oregon star hit 14 total home runs in 2026, while also ending the year with a .321 batting average. Georgia baseball has lost a handful of talent to the transfer portal over the initial stages of the offseason, and Lauaki should play a critical role throughout his time in Athens next year.
Lauaki will transfer to Georgia with three years of eligibility remaining. The former Duck was elite during his redshirt freshman season in 2026. He helped the Ducks make the NCAA Tournament, where Oregon advanced to the super regionals before falling to the Texas Longhorns. Lauaki could prove to be one of the Bulldogs’ most important moves of the offseason. Lauaki notched 43 hits and 37 RBIs last year as well, and the talented DH will now look to shine at Georgia.
Georgia has landed a several commitments from the transfer portal over the last few days. Florida State catcher Hunter Carns recently committed to Georgia, while former WCC player of the year Mikey Bell has landed in Athens as well.
