The song was down to earth. This was something I liked about the song and the singer. There was no pretense.
Sometimes I hear bits and pieces of a song that remind me of another singer's style. Johnny Cash was down to earth as well.

The lead singer of Gaslight Anthem did/has a side project called The Horrible Crows. This is one of the songs off their only album. If you don't know who Gaslight Anthem is and you like rock you need to check them out too.
Beth Hart has such an amazing voice.
