How much have the Jacksonville Jaguars invested in each position group this season relative to the rest of the NFL?

After signing their entire 2026 NFL draft class, Over the Cap has the Jaguars with $9.603 million in remaining salary cap space.

Compared to the rest of the NFL, only seven teams have less cap space to work with than the Jaguars. Jacksonville has ranked near the bottom in available cap space for much of the offseason.

This is, in part, a product of the team absorbing so much dead cap in 2026 after moving on from a number of players last offseason.

Spotrac has a position-by-position breakdown of where these cap dollars are going and how that compares to the rest of the league.

Positional breakdown of Jaguars' 2026 salary cap spending

  • QB: $28.39M (16th)
  • RB: $7.69M (29th)
  • WR: $21.62M (25th)
  • TE: $11.02M (27th)
  • OL: $60.28M (12th)
  • DE: $38.70M (6th)
  • DL: $38.69M (14th)
  • LB: $25.91M (11th)
  • CB: $29.13M (15th)
  • S: $13.93M (25th)

Beyond quarterback, the offensive and defensive lines are where a large portion of the Jaguars' 2026 salary cap hits are going. At linebacker, Foye Oluokun accounts for a large portion of that total cap hit.

At the skill positions, the Jaguars have invested little salary cap-wise, but those units possess tremendous upside.
