TILTON — The Portsmouth Little League 10-12 All-Star team will have another chance to win the District II championship.
Portsmouth trailed North Manchester/Hooksett, 4-0, before rallying to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning. North Manchester/Hooksett answered with three runs in the seventh and went on to claim a 7-4 victory on Saturday, July 25.
The teams will meet again Sunday, July 26, with the winner advancing to the New Hampshire state tournament.
Portsmouth scored all four of its runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Tyler Hodges' three-run double.
Ryder Raizes, Jack Lehrer, Grady Maloney and Hodges each had a hit for Portsmouth. Bennett Smith, Drew Cresta, Maloney and Raizes all pitched for Portsmouth.
