The Pittsburgh Steelers opted not to take a quarterback until the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Despite having multiple opportunities to take Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe, or any of the other quarterback prospects, the Steelers opted to wait and draft Ohio State signal caller Will Howard.

Howard will have a chance to be a quality addition for Pittsburgh. However, there are questions about just how much he can develop and how good he can become.

Following the draft, the Steelers have received some major questions about their strategy. It also became apparent that they are expecting Aaron Rodgers to sign.

Instead of getting a quarterback they can win games with right now in Round 1, the Steelers went defensive tackle."

As for what NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein thinks of Howard, he has compared the former Ohio State signal caller to former NFL quarterback Blake Bortles.
