JOPLIN, MO. — Missouri Southern men’s basketball played host to the Pitt State Gorillas at Robert Ellis Young Gymnasium.
At the end of the first half, the Lions had 18 rebounds and scored 12 points off of second chances.
For the Gorillas, the team scored 12 points off of turnovers, 15 points from the bench, and 26 points in the paint to put them in the 43-33 at the end of the half.
Connor Rogers led the way for Pitt State with 26 points, shooting 9-13 at the free throw line and 3-6 from three.
For the Lions, Jaden Taylor had 23 points, nine rebounds, and forced three turnovers.
Late in the first half, Pitt State took the lead 24-23 and scored 13 unanswered points, dominating the game from then on.
Pitt State dominated and won against Missouri Southern 82-71.
