Pirates' Jhostynxon Garcia is showing 'The Password' hype is real after Red Sox trade originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are doing their best to unlock "The Password."
And right now, it looks like Jhostynxon Garcia is going to be a great future solution for the Pirates' batting lineup.
Garcia, who earned that "The Password" nickname due to his consonant-heavy, unique first name, is new to the Pirates this season.
The Boston Red Sox developed him but traded him to Pittsburgh in the winter.

So far this spring, Garcia is looking like a win for the Pirates.
Entering Monday, Garcia is 7-for-13 on the spring. He has a home run, three RBI and three stolen bases in three attempts.
Garcia may not have a perfectly obvious role in the lineup to begin the season for Pittsburgh.
But if he keeps hitting like this in the spring, they might have to find a spot for him.

Garcia has always hit in the minor leagues. Last year between Double-A and Triple-A, he had a combined .810 OPS that included 17 doubles, four triples and 21 home runs.
The year before, his season-long OPS was .892 between three minor league levels.
Garcia is a right-handed hitting outfielder from Venezuela who just turned 23 this winter, so he's got a lot of time to still break through.
He's doing his best this spring to earn a chance sooner rather than later at the big league level with the Pirates.
