Pine Forest, Jack Britt to host 2026 Cumberland County football jamboree

July has arrived, and the high school football season is set to begin. The Cumberland County Jamboree schedule has officially been released with pairings for each Fayetteville-area public school.

This season, Pine Forest and Jack Britt will be the hosting sites. Four games will take place at Jack Britt, beginning at 6 p.m., and three games will be played at Pine Forest with a 7 p.m. start, with the last game starting at 9 p.m. on August 14.

The first day of official practice is scheduled for July 29, while the first contest is set for an August 7 kickoff. The NCHSAA postseason will begin on Nov. 6, with state championships to be held Dec. 10-12.

Here's the seven-game slate between both locations.

At Jack Britt High School​

• Douglas Byrd vs. West Colombus — 6 p.m.
• Gray's Creek vs. Seventy-First — 7 p.m.
• Cape Fear vs. Overhills — 8 p.m.
• Jack Britt vs. Westover — 9 p.m.

At Pine Forest High School​

• Terry Sanford vs. Harnett Central — 7 p.m.
• E.E. Smith vs. Scotland — 8 p.m.
• Pine Forest vs. South View — 9 p.m.

2026 NCHSAA football schedule:​

• July 29 — First practice
• August 7 — First contest
• Nov. 6 — Round 1
• Nov. 13 — Round 2
• Nov. 20 — Round 3
• Nov. 27 — Round 4
• Dec. 4 — Regionals (Final Four)
• Dec. 10-12 — State championships
