It will be an all-Berks County final for the PIAA Class 2A girls lacrosse championship.
District 3 champion Wyomissing will meet BCIAA champion Twin Valley for the title at 10 a.m. Saturday at Penn State.
The Spartans beat West Chester Rustin 14-12 at Comer Field at Penn Manor High School on Tuesday to punch their ticket to Happy Valley, while the Raiders defeated defending state champion Villa Maria Academy 13-11 at West Chester Henderson High School.
In boys 2A volleyball, Brandywine Heights was beaten by Meadville in straight sets in the semifinals.
Meadville won by scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 in a match at State College High School. They were scheduled to play at Bald Eagle High School but the site was changed earlier today.
In the boys 2A lacrosse semifinals, Penncrest defeated Twin Valley 9-8 in five overtimes to advance to Saturday’s championship match.
