The Phoenix Mercury are embarking on a three-game road trip, including back-to-back contests against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
This week, Phoenix will face the Fever on Monday, June 22, and Wednesday, June 24, before traveling to Canada to take on the Toronto Tempo on Saturday, June 27.
Kelsey Mitchell scored 27 points, while Clark posted a double-double with 21 points and 14 assists in the Fever's 113-91 win against Toronto on June 16.
Clark led the league in assists at 8.3 per game entering games on Wednesday, June 17, and was fourth in scoring at 20.4 points per game.
The Tempo were dealt a tough blow when the team's top playmaker, Brittney Sykes, was helped off after suffering an injury against Indiana. Sykes was in the midst of a career-best year in Toronto, averaging 20.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists through 14 games (all starts).
Phoenix star Kahleah Copper made history as the first Mercury player with a 40-point double-double in the 111-102 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on June 13.
Entering their June 17 home matchup with the Las Vegas Aces, Copper was averaging 18.8 points per game, Natasha Mack led the team in rebounds per game at 8.3, and Alyssa Thomas was at a team-high 8.1 assists per game.
