It didn't sound like Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout would turn down a potential deal to the Philadelphia Phillies.
When asked about it at Major League Baseball's All-Star Game, Trout didn't exactly come out and say that he had no interest in playing in Philadelphia. That shouldn't come as much of a surprise, considering he's from the area and the Phillies would give him a chance to win, but he's also never come out and said he doesn't want to play for the Angels, and we have to respect him for that.
Ultimately, this is Trout's career, and it's one of the best that we've ever seen in Major League Baseball history, so whatever he decides to do over the next few weeks is all up to him.
However, there seems to be a consensus that if Trout does get dealt, he will end up in Philadelphia.
That isn't to say that another team can't go out and make a major move for him, but the Phillies make the most sense, and he also has a no-trade clause that completely determines whether he'd even accept a deal to a team that isn't the Phillies.
That's why it's believed Philadelphia has the best chance of landing the future Hall of Famer and all-time great.

They are one of five teams that make the most sense as sellers at this year’s trade deadline. Trout holds the keys to his own destiny, as he has a full no-trade clause for the entirety of his contract. At this point, it’s highly unlikely he gets moved, but if he does, the Phillies have the best shot at landing the slugger,” Caleb Kerney wrote.
The no-trade clause is the most interesting part of all of this. I'd go out on a limb and say that if Trout decides he wants to get traded, that's something that will be relayed to the Angels organization.
I doubt the Angels are just going to trade the greatest player they've ever had without letting him know, but we've also seen Los Angeles do some weird things in the past, so I don't want to say that it's out of the picture.
Regardless, if Trout doesn't want to be in Philadelphia, or anywhere else, he'll make that decision himself before the beginning of August.
