The New England Patriots have reportedly informed long-snapper Joe Cardona that he's being released, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

Cardona, a two-time Super Bowl champion, has spent the last 10 seasons in New England after being drafted by former Patriots coach Bill Belichick in 2015. The writing seemed to already be on the wall regarding his future after the team spent a seventh-round pick on Vanderbilt long snapper Julian Ashby at the 2025 NFL draft.
