One thing is for certain about the broadcast of the Patriots’ Week 9 game against the Packers.
FOX is going to show the statue — A LOT.
Pregame, during the game, cutaways to and from commercials of the 4 p.m. national TV game against the Packers, FOX is certain to show the 17-foot likeness of former Patriots legend Tom Brady. That’s because the 6-foot-4 version of the former quarterback in the flesh will broadcast a game in Foxborough for the first time since he got the gig at FOX.
Brady will be in his third season as FOX’s top analyst. This is the first time the Patriots have had the top game on that network since he moved into the booth.
It’s one of two games on the schedule with a Brady connection. In Week 5, the Vegas Raiders comes to Foxborough on Oct. 11. Brady is a part owner of the Silver and Black.
FOX, playing its part in the social media mania that always accompanies the NFL schedule release, tweeted:
“He’s backkkkk The GOAT @TomBrady returns to New England for the first time as a broadcaster in Week 9 when the @packers take on the @Patriots on FOX.”
It’s accompanied by what appears to be an AI-created picture of Brady holding a FOX microphone in front of the statue and the six Lombardi Trophies he won in New England.
