pass rush..bring back jamir miller?

Assuming Jamir miller can recover from his injury from last season (big if)..should we pursue him? I did not know he had 13 sacks in 2001. Although he is older than colvin, he seems to be the same type of player (i.e. outside linebacker who can move down to end and rush the passer). He tore his Achilles' tendon and missed the season.. Obviously, this is a tough injury to over come, but agent Steinberg ("I overestimate my players demand in the market") said Miller's rehabilitation is ahead of schedule and that he recently began running full-speed sprints and is expected to make a full recovery.

Jamir is only 29. I understand he and his family still lives in arizona. I have not read where he is getting alot of visits. People assume he will resign with the browns..but will he? Assume for a moment we do not sign okeafor and holliday and suggs is not drafted....what do you guys ang gals think? I would offer him a incentive laden contract. I do not think the frederickson/miller browns fiasco was the cardinals fault - they had to sign someone and they had the high offer for jamir on the table. I know...from outward appearances it looks like jamir does not want to play here..but you never know. If healthy - he can get after the passer. I think we were hesitant historically to offer him a big because of past drug problems..but I have not heard about this issue for years regarding jamir.

Caveat: we may have already spoken to miller and his agent..

I would go after Jamir in a heartbeat. He was a big reason we did so well the year we went to the playoffs. If healthy he deserves Colvin type contract. I do not so much remember bad blood as much as he thought he was worth more than the market would pay.

too much bad blood is probably the incorrect terminology...for some reason jamir really wants to play in cleveland (or so it seems)..

If Holliday sign's with Seattle then I would think the Cards would at least talk to him about coming back, he may say no but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I posted something similar a couple weeks ago. He's always been one of my favorite's. I thought since he might be a tad slower due to his injury. We could move him inside, (I've seen him play there several times in Cleveland). He's played in our boring read & react defense before & was very productive. He could provide pass rush of the edge or up the middle. We offered him a more than fair contract, & he & his agent thought he warranted 6 mil a year. Frederickson was signed. Many will disagree but Jamir was a better football player. Frederickson was a better LB. I'd love to have him back. Bring some respectability back to ol #95.......
