CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Cobras’ annual trip to the NJCAA DII National Tournament is set with a district championship sweep of Spoon River.
Parkland hosted the Snappers in the final game of the Region 24 Division Championship, winning in straight sets, including by double digits in the final two.
Sophomore Shay McMillen was named Region 24 Player of the Year, with Tri-Valley graduate Hailey Warfel, Glenwood graduate Natalie Alexander and Milford graduate Anna McEwen named to the All-Tournament Team.
Now the Cobras wait to learn seeding for the national tournament, held November 19-22 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
