FYI the guy who wrote that played DT in the NFL for a bit and is the cousin of Simi Fehoko who caught a TD pass for us last night

Billings is 31 so it's not like we discovered a diamond in the rough who will play 10 years but here's an interesting note that goes to Fehoko's comment about how strong he is. He's NOT just a fat guy, h was a powerlifter.

Billings attended Waco High School in Waco, Texas. He was rated by Rivals.com as a four-star recruit and committed to Baylor University to play college football.[1][2][3] Billings also competed in powerlifting during high school and broke Mark Henry's Texas record with 2,010 pounds. The record was set with an 805-pound squat, 500-pound bench press, and a 705-pound dead lift.[4][5]

he and Billings were the 2 guys other than Beck who really looked impressive.

We let Tomlinson walk so we needed a run stopper and Billings looks like he can do that at least part time.

And RG was a real problem last year and it looks like Bisontis can contribute there if needed. On draft day I asked if there was any chance he moved to RT since he'd played some in college, it sounds unlikely he's more a guard than a T but still he was impressive last night.

That run by Knight the cutback run the entire play was made by Bisontis getting 2 blocks, one of them a wipeout that opened the hole

Look at the catch rates...just look at them!!!

Holy cow....one might start thinking we got the best damn receiving room in the entire NFL...
Weaver, with only 3 catches on 5 targets is the worst of the bunch.
But we got a whole squad of guys nobody ever heard of that caught every damn thing thrown at them.

who da hell is Jameson Brooks??? and what right does he have to go 3/4 with a 33 yard average?? I mean crap...does dude run a 4.1 forty or what?? 33 yard average?? Really?

if nothing else..its an indicator that the coaches on the offensive side are getting through to the players. Kudos to them for that.

what we really need now is to have a game where our defensive stat sheets look like this...so we can say "Its just one pre season game" when some nobody CB has 3 INT's returned for TDs...and some PS DT has 5 sacks

Give these guys a chance to show you who they are instead of assuming. You admitted you didn't even know his game and yet called him a dud.

If you call every draft pick or FA the cards get a dud, you'll be right about 98% of the time unfortunately. It's not like going out on a limb when you come back to gloat.
