That’s my concern. The offense looks well coached, crisp, and error free. The defense looks like they have not had a coach teach them anything.

Think it's just a question of talent. There is a lot more on the offensive side of the ball. And, the "no blitz" rule for tonight.

I say play Beck all preseason games. Let's see if he can be consistent game to game.

Honestly it's likely to be the high point of the season.

Yeah. Heck, we may even win a game or two we weren't supposed to (Hopefully Cowboys, Eagles, or Chiefs).

But any fan today who watched this will recall this as best HoF ever for years to come. It's not much, but it's honest work. Anything to paint Cards in a positive light.

Oh, I agree. I can't remember the last time I watched an entire HOF game and it was actually worth watching. It's probably been more than 10 years since I watched past the first quarter.

Defense sucked but we probably had about 4 guys in the entire game who will ever be on the field in competitive games in the regular season.

Billings looks like he can at least contribute if needed.

as has been said repeatedly the key to the defense is several guys in the last few draft classes have to step up this year.If they don't we're going to be bad on defense.

I thought the defense looked pretty good the first couple drives when Kenny Pickett was in the game. I think we cycled out from fringe contributors to the roster bubble players pretty early on defense.

Nice game. I thought the offense looked well prepared and ready to go which is what MLF said he wanted. Beck looked good which is a nice place to start. OL looked good as well which is a nice change. Overall, nice outing from an offensive group that just learned a new scheme.

Defense was bad. Not just vanilla, bad. Many have called out Ojulari, he was a non factor. His road to the 53 might be on special teams. You can tell the difference in talent and investment between the offense and defense.

Honestly, given our low expectations for this season (and, let’s face it, for most seasons), I’d be okay with our being an entertaining team even if it only translates to 4-6 wins. Under Gannon we were bad and BORING and that made us, IMHO, a real drag to watch.
