Is anyone really interested?

I will watch UA tonight and this weekend if they get anywhere.

I am kinda disappointed ASU didn't make it but I guess disappointment is the word of the year for ASU hoops. :(

Not really the PAC10 but St Joe's got their asses kicked around by Xavier.

PAC10 tournament doesn;t have that excitement surrounding it that the other tourneys do. Hurts when the top 2 programs are so dead set against it. I wonder how hard Stanford and UofA will push for the conference tourney win.

About the only way this will have any excitement is if another team comes along and wins it to get the automatic berth.

I am just saying, if the coaches don't care for it or about it, why would the players?

Washington St sucks too although I really like their coach. Stanford probably didn;t exert maximum effort on this one.

Chaz, I think that 4-5 game could yield the conference tourney winner. Both teams should have been better than they showed and at one point were playing better than they ended up on.

I am not convinced Stanford or UofA has the sense of urgency to win this thing. Washington is tough and may be the biggest obstacle for Oregon or Cal to overcome.

The worst loss ever by a No. 1 team against an unranked team.

:D

Washington is a 2 seed.

I think Lute wants to see some urgency from this team. I think he would like to do well in this tournament to try and get ready for the NCAAs.

I am not sure UA has the size or focus to play solid defense for a full 40 min. The 'Cats have some great athletic players but they have not played consistantly as a team yet this year.

Oregon or Washington has a very good chance to pull off a win in this tournament.

Washington may be a #2 seed but they are not the 2nd best team in the conference.

I think the winner of Oregon/Cal will stand an excellent chance of winning the thing.

Think Washington has some size and a couple shooters. According to the record they are #2.

BTW Oregon still in it. Good close game against Cal.

Washington had a rough early season but really put it together and came on strong...one of those teams to watch for tourney time. At one point they were 5-8 and finished out the season 12-2. Not bad.

UCLA is giving them fits right now though.

Can you believe that shot by Shakur? Unbelievable. Thanks for the TO Bibby, it gave the Cats a chance to set up a play and the refs to add another second to the game clock. It looks like Rob Evans has found another Pac10 coach (maybe ex-coach) just as idiotic as him in game situations.

What a great finish. Shakur is clutch.

Should be an interesting showdown with Washington today.

Amazing game last night, well worth the lack of sleep. Hassan Adams was ridiculous, but my viewing experience was ruined by annoying Marques Johnson. 'Yakka' is probably the stupidest catch phrase I have ever heard.

I suppose if you toss out that whole "better conference record" and "head-to-head sweep" - then you're absolutely right. :D

Props to Washington, I didn't think they would be able to beat us three times in a row. Oh well, the games that count start next weekend.

We're probably not going to make it out of the second round. :(

The Cats will go as far as Salim Stoudamire takes them, which is not a good thing for us Arizona fans.

I think Chris Rodgers should start ahead of Salim. Salim has a bad wrist and his sulking on the court is not helping.

Team chemistry is so important and it has been mentioned that Iggy and Salim have been the core of the problem. Iggy is only thinking about himself, trying to raise his NBA stock. Salim has not been happy and it shows on the court. His defense is suffering and that is another reason why Rodgers should play. This has to be Lute's worst defensive team.

I think the UofA will be lucky to even make it to the second round. I think this team will be much better next year just because Iggy and Salim will not be there. Jawaan McClellan is the real deal. His team just went undefeated and he scored 31 points in the state finals. saw highlights of his game last night and he was stroking the 3-pointers. Mohamed Tangara will help so much with his rebounding. He will be one of the best rebounders Lute has ever had. His offense needs a lot of work but they will be looking for his defense. The return of Fox will only help and Adams moving to a more natural position(wing) will make UofA fans forget about Iggy. Adams is the full package, defense and offense and another year of college ball will only improve his game.

Good points Zona. Let's also not forget that Olson thought he was also going to have Ndubi Ebi, Latimore, Bynum, Chris Dunn, and Fox to complement our current players. In years past, Lute would have benched certain selfish and whiny players, but he simply cannot afford to this season.

Also, Lute has always said the biggest improvement in a players game is from his freshman to his sophomore year so Shakur and Radenovich should only make this team even better.

My early Pac-10 predictions for next year. The Pac-10 should be much tougher.

1-Washington
2-Arizona
3-Stanford
4-Cal
5-UCLA
6-Oregon
7-Oregon State
8-USC
9-ASU
10-Washington State
