Owen softball's Mia Roland is heading to Rocky Top.
Roland announced on Instagram that she flipped her commitment from South Carolina to Tennessee on July 28.
"This journey has been anything but ordinary," Roland wrote. "There have been unexpected moments, difficult decisions, and lessons that have made me stronger both on and off the field. Through it all, I’m grateful for where this path has led me. I’ve learned to trust God’s timing, stay true to myself, and believe that the right opportunity will always find its way."
Roland originally committed to the Gamecocks on Sept. 16, 2025.
She is a rising senior and the reigning All-WNC Player of the Year. She smashed 14 home runs while hitting two triples, three doubles and a .765 batting average and 46 RBIs. She led the Warhorses to a 16-5 record.
"I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get to work, compete in orange and white, and be part of something so special," Roland wrote. "Rocky Top, I’ll see you soon."
